Attorney Profile

Attorney Cody Farrens was raised in Decatur, Nebraska working on the family farm. He attended college at the University of Nebraska at Omaha before attending law school at the University of Iowa. While in law school, Cody was on the Jessup International Moot Court Competition and was published in the Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems.

Cody graduated from law school in 2010 and relocated with his family to Sioux City, where he began work at a local law firm focusing on insurance issues, personal injury, family law, workers’ compensation, and OWI/DUI/DWI. He then became a partner at Fankhauser, Farrens & Rachel, PLC, who merged with Tigges, Bottaro & Lessmann, LLP Law Firm in 2021 – starting a business venture with endless opportunities. Currently, Cody focuses his practice on family law, criminal law, and juvenile law. He is licensed to practice in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.

Cody lives in Sioux City with his wife and three kids. When not working, most of his time is spent coordinating dance schedules for his daughter, coaching his son’s baseball team, and otherwise being with his family. If time permits, Cody is known to enjoy watching college football or the New York Yankees.
